Our Internship is a structured, paid learning programme designed for students who wish to gain practical exposure to child neuro developmental disorders under expert guidance. This internship bridges the gap between theory and practice by combining real-time observation, guided analysis,and hands-on research paper development.


Programme Objectives

  • Introduce students to the foundations of neuro developmental disorders with a focus on child development
  • Enable students to observe, analyse, and interpret child behaviour in a professional setting
  • If the student wishes to then guide students step-by-step in selecting a research topic and developing a research paper
  • Build skills in research methodology, ethical practices, and academic writing

Duration & Format

  • Total Duration: 4–6 weeks
  • Format: 1:1 guided interaction
  • Mode: On-site/online observation and mentoring
  • Internship Model: Paid internship (students enrol by paying programme fees)
  • Outcome: Practical learning to the foundations of neuro developmental disorders with a focus on child development.

Completion of a structured research paper within the stipulated time period


Curriculum Overview

Week 1-2 | Hours 1–4: Observation & Topic Selection

  • Introduction to the role of developmental milestones in understanding behaviour and development
  • Guided observation of children at the developmental centre
  • Guiding on systematic note-taking of behaviours, interactions, and responses
  • Group discussion on observations and emerging patterns
  • Brainstorming and mentoring to narrow down research topics
  • Guidance on selecting a feasible and ethical research question
  • Access to curated academic resources for exploration

Week 3-4 | Hours 5–6: Analysis & Research Framework

  • Continued observation of therapy and intervention sessions
  • One-on-one discussions on selected research topics
  • Analysis of sample research papers relevant to the chosen area
  • Introduction to research methodologies used in child psychology
  • Discussion on ethical considerations in research with children
  • Structuring research questions and hypotheses

Hours 7–10: Research Paper Development

  • Orientation to academic databases and research resources
  • Guided literature review and reference selection
  • Refinement of research questions with expert feedback
  • Training in APA (American Psychological Association) formatting and citation
  • Guided writing exercises for:
    • Research outline
    • Draft development
    • Logical flow and academic tone

Hours 11–12: Presentation & Feedback

  • Student presentation of preliminary research findings
  • Detailed, constructive feedback from mentors
  • Guidance on revisions and strengthening the research paper
  • Discussion on improving clarity, analysis, and academic rigour
