OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a client-centred health profession focused on promoting health, independence, and overall well-being through meaningful everyday activities, known as occupations. These include self-care, learning, work, play, and leisure.
Our occupational therapists use a systematic, evidence-based approach combined with strong clinical reasoning to support individuals across the lifespan. Therapy is a collaborative process that involves assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, modification, and evaluation, ensuring intervention remains relevant to the client’s goals and daily life participation.
Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Our Pediatric Occupational Therapy team uses specialised techniques and child-friendly approaches to maximise a child’s engagement, independence, and success in daily activities.
We support children in developing skills needed for:
- Self-care (dressing, eating, toileting)
- Play and social participation
- School-related tasks
- Functional independence at home and in the community
Therapy is always individualised and designed to help children function confidently across environments.
Age Groups We Work With
- Children, and adolescents (up to 18 years) are supported through our pediatric OT services
- Adults are supported by our occupational therapist specialising in neurodevelopment
With an expert understanding of child and adult development, our therapists analyse the underlying reasons a child or adult may struggle with specific tasks and design targeted treatment plans to address these challenges effectively.

Sensory Integration Therapy
Sensory integration refers to how the nervous system receives, processes, and organises sensory information from the body and the environment to support emotional regulation, learning, behaviour, and daily participation.
Sensory Integration Therapy, delivered by trained occupational therapists, uses play-based, purposeful activities to help the brain respond more effectively to sensory input such as touch, sound, movement, and visual stimuli.
Therapy goals are developed using a family-centred approach, keeping in mind the priorities, routines, and expectations of both parents and children.
